Since 1975, the Festival intends to reassess the "bel canto" repertoire (from Monteverdi to protoromanticism) and the Neapolitan music school whose protagonists were the Apulian composers. More recently the horizon of the Festival has expanded to the work of the twentieth century and contemporary. The productions are distinguished by the authenticity of the texts (often represented in the full version) and respect for vocal types, faithful to the original scores and interpretations. https://www.festivaldellavalleditria.it/en
