Milazzo city

This little town consists of a strip of land facing the sea on both sides; its geographical position making it so unique. The historic town ends up with the castle on top of the hill; the seaside is beautiful with its long beach of round pebbles...unfortunately the view of an oil refinery, on the other side, disfigures the landscape of this "would be" natural masterpiece. The town, a typically southern one, is chaotic and congested, but the walk to the castle and a short visit are definitely worth. As in ancient times, Milazzo is still the gateway port to the Aeolian Islands.
